The tourists make a stopover here for some time enroute to DehraDun, to take Maa’s blessings. Huge bhandara and night long pooja festival is organized on navmi and dashera. During the navratra week the vehicles route is diverted. The local people from DehraDun visit here, whenever they buy a new vehicle – two wheeler or a four wheeler.
Navratras are the big festival at Daat Kali Temple. The place is so much crowded that DehraDun highway is closed during the week long period.
The temple was constructed in June 1804, when DehraDun Saharanpur highway was constructed. It is believed that the engineer who constructed the temple was Maa bhakt and Maa came in his dream and Maa asked the engineer to construct the temple.
