Top waterfalls in Rishikesh for cooling down in Summers

Rishikesh is a popular tourists destination for couple of reasons -
Rishikesh is the yoga capital of India, and it offers so many yoga training institutes. Rishikesh also hosts annual event – International Yoga Day.

Rishikesh is the commencing point of chardham yatra, the four famous Hindu religious destinations.

Due to these reasons, Rishikesh attracts a lot of tourists every year.
The weather is hot in Rishikesh during summers. To beat the summer heat, Rishikesh has a couple of natural waterfalls, on the outskirts of Rishikesh. Tourists visit these natural waterfalls in summers to take a dip in natural springs.

1. Neergarh Waterfall: The natural spring waterfall is located at a trekkable distance from Rishikesh Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, and this waterfall is a perfect trekking destination in Rishikesh. It takes just one hour to reach Neergarh Waterfall by trek, from Laxman Jhula.

2. Garud Chatti Waterfall: Garud Chatti Waterfall is the natural waterfall located on Rishikesh Neelkanth Road, just three km from Laxman Jhula. There is also a small temple with name Garud Chatti Temple, very close to Garud Chatti waterfall.
Both of these waterfalls are on the outskirts of Rishikesh and at the same time, not too far away at trekkable distance.
