Kalika Mandir in DehraDun is one of the lesser known sidhh peeths of Uttarakhand. It is a temple dedicated to Maa Durga, located at the heart of the city. The temple is located at a walking distance from Clock Tower in DehraDun, at a distance of less than one km.
The temple was founded by his holiness Baba Shri Sarvadas, a self realized Guru, in the year 1954.
Location of Kalika Mandir:
Kalika Mandir is located on the road that leads to machhi bazaar (fish market) of DehraDun. The temple can be reach from Chakrata Road, near Bindal Bridge.
About Baba Sarvadas:
Baba Sarvadas, commonly called as Babaji, was born on Ganga Dushera of year 1941 in Pakistan. His childhood name was Bhushan. Since birth Baba had inclination for Ganga Snan (holy dip in river Ganga), Cow worship, Bhagwat Geeta. Baba migrated to India post partition of Pakistan. On 6th September 1954, Baba got initiation (deeksha) from his Guru – Shri Maha Mandleshwar. It was his guru, who gave the name of Sarvadas to Baba. Another Saint with name Sh Govind Nand bestowed Baba with degree of Bal Yogi.
Being a self realized soul, Baba has magnetic attraction.
