The institute has gained the reputation not only at national level, but international level too. Every year many researchers visit the WII campus from foreign countries to get trained in the field.
The projects undertaken by WII are carried out across the country.
The institute offers courses of various lengths and various types, including two years masters course, post graduate diploma course for 10 months duration, 3 months certification courses and short term courses.
The campus of WII is located on the outskirts of DehraDun in the forest area. WII campus is equipped with world class facilities including library, guest house, hostel, teaching block, a world class auditorium and a lake.
The hostel offers accommodation on single occupancy as well as double occupancy. There is a mess attached to the hostels. Along with this, the facilities offered are wifi, table tennis court, carom board, and lounge space.
