Pure vegetarian food is cooked and served at Shanti Kunj.
There are some rules and regulations for night stay at Shanti Kunj in Haridwar:
1. Tourists can stay at Ashram for a maximum of two days.
2. Tourists are expected to attend morning homa (hawan) and the meeting with Shradhey and Naad Yog.
Shantikunj Haridwar, the head quarter of Gayatri Parivar, was established in Sapt Sarovar in Haridwar in year 1971. In 1979, Brahmavarchas Research Institute a well equipped laboratory to conduct experiments for coordination of science with spirituality, was established. In year 1982, a total of 2400 shakti peeths were established across the country.
