Welcome to Ram Jhula Rishikesh

Ram Jhula is a big iron suspension bridge, used to cross the holy river Ganga. One end of the Jhula is at Sivananda Ashram, while the other end is near famous restaurant of Rishikesh – Chotiwala / Police Chowki.
The bridge is good strong, which swings a little when there are strong winds. The bridge allows people to cross the bridge by walk and two wheelers are also allowed.

Ram Jhula is used to cross the river Ganga to reach places like Swargashram, Geeta Ashram, Geeta Bhawan, Parmarth Niketan, Chotiwala Restaurant etc.
During the evening time, when Ganga Aarti is performed in front of Parmarth Niketan, Ram Jhula offers beautiful view of Aarti. To have the best experience of Ganga Aarti, its best to attend from Parmarth Niketan.

Ram Jhula is located next to Ram Jhula Taxi stand, where tourists can also park their personal four wheelers. The parking is paid. But the entry to Ram Jhula is free of cost.

There is a paid boat service available, at minimal cost, to cross the river ganga, available from next to Ram Jhula Taxi stand.

Once the tourists are on the middle of bridge, the bridge swings very slightly in windy conditions. The bridge also offers beautiful views of mountains, tourists performing river rafting, different Ashrams like Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Ashram and Swargashram.
