Prem Nagar Ashram was founded by Shri Hans Ji Maharaj in year 1944. In the year 1944 it was a barren land and the house for scorpions and snakes. In the year 1950, the development work of Ashram began. The Ashram is built on the banks of river Ganga. The ghat which is next to Prem Nagar Ashram is called Prem Nagar Ghat.
Currently the ashram has huge infrastructure of more than 1000 rooms, with the help of devotees and followers of Maharaj ji.

Ashram has huge gardens, with variety of flowers which are sure to attract a lot of attention from tourists as they enter the Ashram.
Within the Ashram:
Mansarovar Satsang Hall: The satsang hall within the Ashram campus is large enough to accommodate 2000 people. Every week, on Sunday, satsang is held in this hall.
Goverdhan Hall: This is also a satsang hall, but larger than Mansarovar. This hall has the capacity of 20000 people.
Hans Ayurved Bhawan: As the name suggests, this is the pharmacy, staffed by ashram residents. It serves pure herbal medicines which are chemical free.
Panch Pallav: This is combination of five different trees growing together as one, naturally. This is considered a rare phenomenon.
