Hanol is a beautiful village located near Chakrata, at a distance of 90km. Hanol is famous for Mahasu Devta Temple which is visited by the devotees from around the world to seek the divine blessings.
The famous temple was built in 9th century, but is taken care by Archaelogical Survey of India. The Mahasu Devta is the lord of justice.
The temple celebrates an annual festival and fair in the month of August for three days. Devotees come to attend this fair from far off places. The fair is named as Mahasu Devta Fair.
