On one side of the park is an old cinema hall of DehraDun, named as Orient Cinema Hall. The Gandhi Park is full of trees providing shade to the tourists. The park is particularly famous for the morning walkers, who come here for jogging and walk. Being centrally located, the park attracts lot of crowd over the weekends and during evenings in summers.
Popular chain of Big Bazar is located right opposite to the Gandhi Park. While on the back side of Gandhi Park is Parade Ground. Parade Ground is a ground which hosts events like Exhibitions and circus from time to time.
Government has recently created a parking space besides Gandhi Park.
Park also has some statues of great leader and the names of the martyrs of kargil war.
