Beatles Ashram is located in Swargashram area of Rishikesh. Beatles Ashram is named after a popular pop band with name Beatles who visited Rishikesh in year 1968. Prior to their visit, this Ashram was Ashram of Great Mahesh Yogi.

The Ashram has been in dilapidated condition since long time. There are around 84 meditation pods created at Ashram. The 84 pods are also called Chaurasi Kutiya (Chaurasi in hindi is 84, Kutiya in hindi means hut).
Although the current Ashram is not in a great shape, but due to great spiritual past, Ashram has a great quiet atmosphere. Being close to Ganga river, adds to the serenity of this place.

There is an entry fees for Ashram. 

Currently there is a large signage at Beatles Ashram, telling the tourists about the history of Ashram  and the time when the famous band Beatles visited here. It also says that it is now developed as Nature Centre by Rajaji Tiger Reserve.
There are some beautiful wall paintings and quotes written on the walls of Ashram.

There is a history attached to Beatles Ashram. The beatles band group met great Mahesh Yogi in London in year 1967. The beatles were attracted to Yogi and his teachings. Yogi invited the Beatles to attend advanced learning of transcendental meditation, which Beatles accepted in year 1968. Due to huge fan following of Beatles and the visit of Beatles to Mahesh Yogi Ashram in Rishikesh, the Rishikesh city got a lot of attention from international tourists. The Ashram closed after death of Mahesh Yogi and was renamed to Beatles Ashram.
