Aastha Path starts at one end from Triveni Ghat of Rishikesh and ends on other end at Barrage. There are government plans to extend this path till Raam Jhula in Rishikesh in future. All along the 6km long trail, it has beautiful river facing benches for tourists to rest, railings to avoid any accidents of slippage in river. The path is strictly meant only for walking and is generally used by people for morning and evening walks. One can enjoy the coolness of flowing water, fresh air and divine atmosphere of the Ganges while walking along the path.
One has to go down 50 – 60 steps, to reach the path. Hence it avoids vehicles on this path, making it pollution free path.
There is an open gym on the path, so that the tourists can do some exercise in the morning and evening.
At the time of Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh, the aarti lights reflect from the flowing river.
